Not everything can be fixed *open*

"Wake your lazy ass up and get to work, you good for nothing little punk!"

Those words seemed muffled as something kicked Kelvin's side a bit roughly, nudging him awake. "Piss off..." He muttered, swatting the old man away. "Why you ungrateful little-" Was all he heard when water washed over him, forcing him up and in anger. "Do you want to die!" He screamed and it was met by a whack over the head. "I need you to go get some things for me at the store. Get moving." Was all he said, as he shoved a list and money in his hand. "Be quick about it" Before Kelvin could say anything else the man was walking away to fix some cars up.

It's been a while since he started to work here and the shop had been upgraded a few times and he had even found some people to work for him in the garage, helping the old man out. But showing that old coot kindness was starting to seem like a mistake (lies). It didn't matter, he was on his way out of the shop, the list and money shoved into his pocket. It didn't seem too bad leaving the place, he needed to go for a walk anyway.

The sun was high in the sky and he realized the old man had let him sleep in a lot longer that he expected. He was going soft, the moron. Watch out! He heard a voice yell and Kelvin's hand went up to catch a baseball that would have hit him in the head otherwise. The catch wasn't hard, but the ... "Goddamnitstupid..." the ball was still a baseball and he wasn't made of steal. "That stings!" The ball was on the ground and retrieved by a smaller child that Kelvin glared at until he ran away in fear.

His stomach growled at him in protest to scaring the child away, but he ignored it, now paying attention for something good to eat.
