[cs=2] Also goes by "Thomas Wright." Once the first of the order of seraphim, Seraphiel can almost remember when the Shining was their domain. But for the past thousands of years (he loses track of the days, immortality does that), he's fallen from grace and believes that he's been abandoned. And so Seraphiel has learned to adapt. But he isn't built to think like mortals are, and he's not built to accept the impurities of this world. Thus, while he manages to blend in, there are definite immortal tendencies. He spaces out, he goes without eating or even breathing, and he forgets, quite often, that his flesh is prone to cracking. He also talks like he carries a thesaurus around, something that really shows. He doesn't forget names like some do, though. It's his job to protect and remember and watch over the mortals, and he's going to do this until he cannot any more. Seraphiel is quiet. He's not one to speak loud, or even at all in most situations, preferring to listen rather than command attention. It's helped him in many scenarios, and he believes that if you just shut the fuck up and keep your head down, most situations can be solved. He's also not initially welcoming. He has a certain paranoia to him; everything in this world could be a threat, and he can't fail his mission-- to protect humanity. Because if he does that, they might be able to return to the Shining and receive the answers once and for all. If the Shining even exists, that is. Sometimes he wonders why he bothers. Humanity seems content with damning itself, and maybe there is no higher being. Maybe there is no home for them. Maybe the Fallen are right. But Seraphiel isn't going to let himself get corrupted just yet. | |
