Central Park. A place where people could come and enjoy the wonders of untainted fresh air. At least that's what a few believe when they thought of the park. It was different from the entire city, a patch of nature in the concrete jungle. Nature that anyone could enjoy, and that was what one boy was doing, well, at least that's what people assumed he was doing.
No he was not to be honest, true, right now his feet were dangling in a small pond in the park, many would see that he is relaxing. The truth was that he was washing his feet. in the river. Next to the boy laid a pair of old and dirty shoes as well as a small looking puppy curled up with it's flank rising up and down.
"Man, this water's so freaking great to take a dip in. To bad there's too many people around to actually take a swim." he said as he petted his little pup companion. Sol had spent most of the day by the water side, enjoying it's calm for as long as he could.

This morning was full of meetings, but she’d been done before lunch. Tonight, no crisis imminent, she would not need to confer with the pack. She could enjoy spending her time doing rather ‘mundane’ things. Gardening, volunteering…or, as in this case, walking her apartment complex’s dogs through the nugget of nature found in the midst of the city. There were ten in all, ranging in size from tiny toy to massive mastiff. Yet where there was certainly room for chaos, each dog was on their best behavior, trailing obediently behind the woman who walked them in an orderly fashion. Without words she seemed able to direct them - stop here for some sniffing and a potty break, continue on down this path, step aside from a couple on bikes…it all went very smoothly.
They came upon the stream with every intent to get a drink, but Maeve slowed them to a stop when she spotted the lone figure sitting on the bank with a puppy. She glanced over her shoulder at her makeshift ‘pack’, and as if compelled they all sat down almost at the exact same time. She would not allow them to cause a ruckus now, when coming upon two pups - it could quickly turn dangerous if it got out of hand. Thus she left them there, ten leashes on the ground, yet not one dog made a move to follow. She strode with surprising silence, but stopped a comfortable distance from the young man. All it took was her nose to tell what she was looking at. And no, ‘dirty urchin’ was not what she smelled.
As the boy took his feet out of the water, Fenrir suddenly woke up and sniffed the air. It was then that he turned his small head towards the woman who was walking towards them. Sol soon took notice as he saw the woman out of the corner of his eye. In all honesty he was a bit curious as to why she was taking an interest in him.
It was then her scent and question pretty much revealed as much as he needed to know about her. She was a werewolf, like him, and she was an alpha. "Uh, I'm...alright. But you don't need to call me an Omega. I'm not really in a pack."
It was a bit weird that she assumed he was in one. Guess it was rare to see a rouge in the city. "Uh...Is there anything I can help you with lady?" he asked, not really sure what to do know, it's not everyday a person asks how you are, well not to older homeless people anyway. People always loved children, even if they were bad teenagers.

Naturally she anticipated him being without a pack, but that didn’t mean she needed to be rude. “You are a lone Omega. There is no other name for you, if I’m to refer to you properly as one wolf to another.” Essentially, she was trying to be polite, in a way. She wanted to speak to him as a wolf, not as the executive of a company speaking to a homeless teen. Then again, there was still a gap between them in rank, but there was a shared closeness in their mutual species. She always felt that their kind ought to at least keep an eye on their own, as there was strength in numbers.
Kneeling, she took a gentle interest in the pup, allowing Sol to escape her gaze. Oftentimes she was told she was very intimidating - while that had it’s uses, sometimes it was more a hindrance, like in situations such as these. “I just wanted to make sure you were alright. I’m sure your survival skills are sharp, but there’s no harm in a good meal once in awhile. The hunting in this park is not very good, after all.” [/style][STYLE=float: left; width: 100px; height: 100px; background: url(http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee454/_Bluechan/Hidden%20FCs/Maeve/14309673-20.png); border: #FFcccc solid 10px; margin-top: 10px;][/style][STYLE=float: left; width: 100px; height: 100px; background: url(http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee454/_Bluechan/Hidden%20FCs/Maeve/14309673-20.png); border: #FFcccc solid 10px; margin-left: 05px; margin-top: 10px;][/style][STYLE= float: left; width: 100px; height: 100px; background: url(http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee454/_Bluechan/Hidden%20FCs/Maeve/14309673-20.png); border: #FFcccc solid 10px; margin-left: 05px; margin-top: 10px;][/style]
Sol blinked as the woman explained why she was calling him an omega. Guess werewolves had a bigger pack mentality than he thought. Truth be told, he didn't really know much about his race's customs. He was never really one to look into his own heritage, even one that was supernatural to humans. He just went with the fact that he was a beast, no more than that.
"Uh, okay, call me whatever you want then." The woman herself seemed like the type not to pick an argument with. She then said something about surviving in the park, mostly because of food sources. "Well, it is hard to eat really well when all you have to hunt is birds." he said scratching the back of his head. He was wondering if this conversation was leading somewhere, and if it was, he was a bit worried about it all.

She figured that, at least for his stress levels, she ought to be as straight forward as she could be. Shifting slightly, she again turned her full attention onto Sol. “I’m the Alpha of the pack in this area. If you need something, like a good meal, you are welcome to come to me. I’ve no ill will toward lone wolves, so long as they’re not causing trouble.”
Still kneeling, on his level, she offered a small smile. “I know it probably seems a bit strange, but I’m more concerned with wolves being safe regardless of whether they’re in my pack. Since you’re in the area, I consider you my responsibility.” [/style][STYLE=float: left; width: 100px; height: 100px; background: url(http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee454/_Bluechan/Hidden%20FCs/Maeve/028.png); border: #FFcccc solid 10px; margin-top: 10px;][/style][STYLE=float: left; width: 100px; height: 100px; background: url(http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee454/_Bluechan/Hidden%20FCs/Maeve/028.png); border: #FFcccc solid 10px; margin-left: 05px; margin-top: 10px;][/style][STYLE= float: left; width: 100px; height: 100px; background: url(http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee454/_Bluechan/Hidden%20FCs/Maeve/028.png); border: #FFcccc solid 10px; margin-left: 05px; margin-top: 10px;][/style]
