AFRICA sites and landmarks |
Other places claim to be melting pots, but compared to Africa, they got nothing. Deities, watchers, and sorcerers are so common that in some places, magic is but an open secret. Since colonization, vampires have spread like the plague, and the same could be said for all races. Ironically, there are more and more sleepers and ever fewer wakers. St Francis' Orphanage and Sanctum - An orphanage of sorts for fledgling vampires in Algeria and run by angels, St Francis is a coven in its own right. Made up primarily of young, charitable, and extremely Catholic vampires, the St Francis coven is infamously evangelical and travels all over the world attempting to convince other vampires that they're the spawn of Satan and need to repent. Alabaster - A white supremacist magi organization centered in Johannesburg, South Africa, Alabaster isn't anywhere as secret as a secret society should be. Racist and often cruel--although their doctrine does not condone abuse or violence--Alabaster Magi are some of the strongest mages of their continent and even the world, but they are despised by many. Vespers - Vespers is effectively a graveyard of gods. Found in an assuming open plain in Ethiopia, those with any sort of magical sight or sensitivity will immediately feel the energy in the air. If gods could be ghosts, these are all that remain: gods with forgotten names and forgotten powers, too weak to do anything but gather and wait. What they're waiting for is anyone's guess.
