[cs=2] Zahhak was one of the first Persian kings right around when Zoroastrianism was the biggest deal in the middle east. He was an emperor of a nice kingdom nestled in between the Tigris and Euphrates. His people were all vegetarian. On a trip, King Zahhak did not know that the chief he brought was in fact Ahriman. After being complimented profusely by the meddling deity, he was offered duck, rabbit and deer to eat. The King accepted the meal, wooed by the facade of kindness, however, upon the first bite, two vicious serpents grew from Zahhak's shoulders. Ahriman, then, disappeared, and King Zahhak transformed into a tyrant. Every day, he had to feed the two snakes human brains or else they would attack his own head! Now, transformed into this monstrous demon king that required human sacrifice to live each day, Zahhak, of course, became very unpopular among his followers. One of them, named Fereydun, decided to kill the terrible king. The hero lead a rebellion against the tyrant, successfully capturing him and then imprisoning him in the caverns of a great mountain. Zahhak was supposed to be stuck there until the end of time, however, twenty-two years ago, a crew of oil drillers accidentally broke open the seal to his cave, and he slipped back into the world. His first order of business was to torture the descendants of Fereydun, to make them suffer slowly and die the last of their friends. He found them in New York city several years later, but the demon became distracted and led astray from his mission by a beautiful woman. Though he still desired their end, perhaps it could wait another score when this woman's beauty wore away. Though he was a demon, he once had the heart of a human, and if anything, his demonic made him a fervently needy lover. Unfortunately for Zahhak, he became too attached. He came to realize that he wanted to spend as long as he could with this woman. He feared her death. With this terror in mind, he found lured the woman into a sexual ritual that would turn her pregnant with his hellspawn. However, soon after this ritual, she disappeared without a word or a trace. Zahhak was devastated, and has since become a violinist, very sad but very talented. Many are jealous of his skill, and he has since been employed by Ahriman to swindle people as he was first tricked. | |
