Tajvar checked his phone. Out of habit, mostly, but also because he didn't want to mistake one child for another. The young man reclined in his seat, peering occasionally at the entrance to the kindergarten.
He felt like a child, for he was waiting for the bell to ring as well. He would then pick up a friend's son; Tajvar did people favors, and people helped him out in return. It was a largely symbiotic relationship, where oddly enough, the boy liked him better than he did his own parent.
The Fereydun never said anything about it, even if it got painfully obvious when the boy cried, howling his name. He snapped his phone shut and slipped it into his coat pocket; Tajvar stood, pulled his coat around him tight (for the wind was rather strong) and braved the rush of children exiting the kindergarten just moments after class ended.

Tatyana had another satisfying day with the children. They seemed to enjoy it too. She was quite satisfied with herself, she looked up at the clock as the kids finished putting their toys away, crayons, and coloring books. They put their folders in their backpack and where putting on their coats. Taty helping them when they couldn't get their arm though the right hole. They where all adorable and she couldn't help but have a soft connection with each one.
Then the bell rang, and the children went running out the door, and Taty looked for one kid in particular. Apparently he was getting picked up by someone else today and Taty wanted to make sure the was safe. She smiled and walked over to the boy and held his hand, following the children out, watching them all go with the familiar faces. Good, everyone seemed to be getting with familiar people.
She then spotted the man she didn't recognize. She walked with the little boy as he let go of her hand and he ran to the man. Taty smiled again and walked to the man. "I'm assuming you're the one picking him up then?" she asked with a small laugh, glad that the kid had recognized him, she was to scared to approach anyone on her own.

Tajvar hadn't quite recognized the boy he was supposed to pick up from a sea of faces and bags. As soon as he felt something cling against his leg, however, he glanced down, seeing a familiar head of messy black hair. He smiled, lifting the boy up and placing him on his shoulders. The child squealed, delighted.
He finally focused on the teacher who'd brought him out, and nodded politely. "Ah, yes. Falcon's dad couldn't make it," he said, trying to find the right words, "So ... so I'm picking him up. You'll probably see me a few more times this month, haha." His laughter was timed to punctuate the end of his sentence, a practiced habit he had cultivated for years.

Taty smiled watching the man put the boy on his shoulders. He seemed like a good guy, she knew a few of her students have parents that weren't the best, it killed Taty to let them go home with them everyday. As long as they didn't have bruises though, she couldn't do anything. "Ah, I see, well I hope everything's alright." She stated, wondering if his father was injured, or just busy. Well, people tended to get busier when it got colder. And, they lived in New York after all.
"Ah, yes I'm his teacher Tatyana, or Taty. He knows me as Miss Mari though." Sometimes normal conversations through her off, used to people bowing to her as they spoke, and she curtsying in return. It was nice to feel like she could have a normal conversation, still, sometimes she felt very awkward, like she was doing something wrong. So when she almost curtsied after stating "It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Taj" she started to blush a little.

"Everything is," he agreed readily. Everything was, indeed, but even if it wasn't, Tajvar couldn't bring himself to tell the truth in front of Falcon. The boy would probably be confused; it wasn't so much out of concern as he'd like everyone else to believe, but more of the fact that explaining would be rather tedious in itself to do to a young child like him.
"Miss Mari?" Tajvar let the name roll off his tongue once or twice, finally smiling. "Ah, it must be cold for you," he said, alluding to her blushing face, "If you don't mind, I could stay a while since Falcon's dad won't be free until a couple hours more."

Taty was relieved to hear that everything was okay. She lived Falcon so it would have been disappointing to hear life for him was getting harder. She smiled up at Falcon "Good, I'm glad" She stated in response. Taty wasn't sure why the man wanted to talk to her, but hey! She was kind of lonely. Children are amazing, but not good for a real conversation other then the silly ones where you answer their virtual phone.
Taty nodded "Of course you can!" she said, turning and leading the two inside, pausing before the door and stated. "Don't let Falcon hit his head on the door." She stated, before walking inside and heading for her room, picking up the last few toys that where scattered about the ground. She wasn't really embarrassed about the mess, she just wanted to make sure no one stepped on a sharp object, as she did all the time.
She then pulled out a chair for him to sit on, she only had two adult chairs. One more like a blue high school students study chair, and a rolly desk chair. She aloud him to have the desk chair as it was more comfortable, as she sat down on the other.

"Ah, right," Tajvar nodded good-naturedly, shrugging the boy off his shoulders and into his arms. Falcon laughed; the drop wasn't large, but exciting nonetheless. The subsequent fall from arms to floor was another that the boy enjoyed, and together, they walked hand-in-hand into the kindergarten.
"Where we going, Taj?" "Back in. Isn't it cold outside, Falc?" "Mm."
With that, Tajvar managed to get the both of them into the room; upon seeing Tatyana settle herself on one of the chairs, the young man took the other, with Falcon sitting on his lap amusedly. The child had a toy in his hands, toying around with it as Tajvar quickly found another topic to keep the conversation going.
"... somehow, I feel like I've seen you somewhere before." Finding no point in beating around the bush, he quickly cut to the chase, smiling as soon as he finished his statement. "I don't remember, but somehow ..."

Taty smiled at Falcon as he played with a toy. He was adorable, she wanted to play right along side him but wasn't sure if she should. So she looked back up at Taj and blinked in surprise. He knew her? She paused for a moment to think about this. Had she kno.... she was a princess everyone who wasn't a sleeper knew her. She bit her lip, but was that what he really meant? Should she make a suttel hint? What if he was a sleeper and really just meant it? Well, she couldn't make it to obvious.
"Ah...maybe in a dream?" she stated with a laugh, as though it where a joke to someone who wouldn't understand. "Was I princess in it?" she smiled at him, if he knew what she was talking about then he'd probably understand. If not, then he'd probably take it as a joke and hopefully move on. Taty hoped she hadn't screwed up, but if he understood, then she could probably talk freely soon, which would be nice. Taty enjoyed being able to feel like she wasn't hiding anything.

A small smile cut across Tajvar's face. Putting it lightly, aren't you, he mused, ruffling Falcon's hair as he tried to appear as relaxed and casual as possible. "Not just any princess," the man pointed out calmly. Tatyana's way of phrasing it was almost verbal confirmation of her status, and who she really was -- even as Falcon glanced at him curiously, Tajvar said nothing, instead looking straight at the fae princess.

Tatyana was about to start blabbering on about how amazing it was to finally be able to talk to someone about all of this, she hadn't met any non-humans that she had known about yet. Before she remembered that Falcon wasn't his son, meaning he was probably a sleeper. She looked at the boy and paused, let out a soft sigh. She'd have to wait, maybe she could get this mans phone number? Tatyana just put on a big smiled and ruffled Falcon's hair. "You hear that? Apparently your teacher's a princess. You think I'm pretty enough to be a princess?" She asked, helping him think it was a joke.
She couldn't have little kids go around and telling everyone about the whole other world. It would ruin everything and it'd be Taty's fault. She smiled back up at Taj, not sure what to say, she shrugged. "Well Mr. Taj, I know an amazing princess like me must be pretty intimidating, but don't worry I'm only a little mean." she stated, laughing. Hoping that he wouldn't be intimidated by the fact that he now realized who she was.

Falcon blinked once, then twice. He shrugged, tugging at the arms of the toy as he thought it over -- was Miss Mari pretty enough to be a princess? He didn't know. The boy stared at his toy for a moment, stopped playing with it, then glanced at his teacher.
"Mmhm."
The boy was quiet for a moment, and went back to playing with his toy. Tajvar had to resist the urge to raise an eyebrow; he wondered, briefly, about the child's actions.
"All girls are princesses," said little Falcon matter-of-factly, never once glancing away from the toy that had seemed to occupy his attention.
Tajvar laughed. "Just a little mean?" he asked, almost teasingly -- he knew plenty of people who could say that and act completely different from what they had stated. "I'll hold you to that." A smile etched itself on his face as Falcon moved closer to him, eventually looking at Tatyana from over his shoulder.
