With a few clicks on his laptop, Ali Fereydun informed his admirers that he may be working with a certain starlet in the future. Unbeknownst to them, ‘future’ meant now, well actually fifteen minutes ago. He texted her before tweeting the news, and she said she was on the way. It gave him time to tidy up the rented studio. The atmosphere inside this creation zone was damn near religious. It was one of his favorite places in the city. With a coffee shop out front, this SOHO studio was easily the working man’s workshop.
These days Ali couldn’t stop working, with Agency jobs and his actual job getting in the way of his beloved craft. Luckily, Ali’s talents required nothing but a dash of creativity and a good ear. His band had a solid set that they recycled for shows, and he could whip out the turn tables and go wild if need be. The boy had ambition for his music career though. This ambition equaled that of his demon-hunting career, but he knew that he’d always be silver-medaling to his brother. Music and magic were his treasures. No one could take them away from him, and no one but the tax-man could hamper his progress.
The studio was cut into two pieces, the recording room and the hangout zone. In the hangout zone, a long producing table actually made the line in the sand along with a soundproof glass. There was also a coffee table and some comfy chairs if needed a quick fix for inspiration. That coffee table had seen many white lines and rolled papers. Posters of local legends spotted the walls. And in the recording room, there were guitars, keyboards, a holy drum set, and a half a dozen microphones. Ali, the current curator of this magical place, wore a stylish black jacket over a white long-sleeve, jeans, snazzy boots, and a scarf to complete. He looked as if he belonged there. Everything was perf.
The magi balanced his laptop on his right forearm and commented on his sister’s latest tweet. Some Flatbush, dreamy rap was playing on the big surround-sound speakers. All the while, Ali chewed on a piece of chicken biryani. The half-eaten meal made its place on the coffee table with some lit candles and old CDs. A knock on the door stopped everything.
“Ho’d up! I’m coming.” The magi pushed a button on the production machine, which abruptly shut off all sound. He slammed his laptop shut and threw it towards the couches. Brushing himself for crumbs, he started towards the door and opened it with a big grin. He was expecting important people!

Scarlet was actually pretty excited for this day. It wasn't often she got to record with other people then the ones in her band. This young man had a particularly bright spark that Scarlet liked. She could tell he was serious about his carrier and he was pretty good too. So she made her supervisor fit him in. The life of a star was a busy one, but Scarlet loved it. She loved always having something to do. She was a little bit of a workaholic, but that was okay because she was doing something she loved and something that brought happiness to others. Maybe that was why Scarlet has such a connection with music. It just was able to effect emotions so much, and if there was one thing that Scarlet loved more then music it was feelings. And her feeling excited for this was just a new feeling giving her a new experience.
Her heart beat faster the closer they god, though of course she still had that celebrity cool about her, that facade that nothing ever fazes her. Like she'd been to hell and back again, so nothing could bother her. When really Scarlet probably was more emotional then almost anyone. That was one thing Scarlet didn't like about this job, all these people had a false persona of her, like she was some calm cool sexy chick when in all honesty, she was a pretty big wimp. Oh well, at least she knew who her real friends where by the people that didn't judge her for being not what they where expecting.
The limo stopped before the studio, and stepped out, side and looked around, it wasn't the biggest studio she'd seen but it was nice. She Told the driver and her producer to go ahead and be on their way and walked up to the door, alone, and knocked. The door opened after a little wait and the red haired boy was there. "Hey their Ali, you ready to do this?" she said with determination and a smile.

Collaborations were a big deal. You now had two fanbases to impress, and in addition to that, you had to either outdo or keep pace with your collaborator. It was no surprise that the Fereydun middle child poured his heart and soul into setting everything up with style. He wasn’t one to get flustered at things going off course but a pretty setup gave the studio a recording ambiance. He didn’t figure himself out totally, though. Ali was midway through a meal with happy thoughts causing mental traffic. By no means was he truly focused but perhaps his preparation saved the day there. The door flew open, in came his partner, and they were off like racing horses.
“Without a doubt. Hope this place isn’t too cliché. SOHO has a reputation for its art, so why not, right?” He opted to close the door behind her while she got a feel for the place. “My brother’s college buddy knew a guy. The locals tried to make this place historic last year.” The boy was just spitting out useless info at this point. His main interest was if she was down to get busy. He flipped on a switch, beside the front door, that turned on the recording room lights. The room was white. The instruments were white. Everything looked clean and professional. He sighed and took a seat in the big couch. As he sat, he picked up his meal’s remainder and grabbed his laptop. Ali surfed through his files while his cheeks poofed from his chewing. There. Ali found a piece of production software to supplement the machinery.
“So, how’s been your shows as of late? I hear they get a lot of people nowadays.” He said, making small talk, while moving about to plug in cords and straighten wires.
