STATEN ISLAND sites and landmarks |
Staten Island is southwest of Manhattan, adjacent both to New York and New Jersey although separated from both by water. You can get to Staten Island from Manhattan by bus, rail, and ferry. St. Augustine Academy - A private K-12 Catholic school run by angels, it inspires true belief in its students, as well as preparing them for college and life as a evil-busting crusader for all things good. Suffice to say all its students are waker children, and they're expected to do great things. Should they not do great things, an old teacher might hook them up with a respectable suicide mission. Hodge's Ferry - Hodge is an old man with a boat. Friendly, chatty, and reputable, he will take paying passengers from Staten Island to Manhattan--or to other places. An expert at portal spells, he will ferry you to any port in the world. Have water? Will travel. For a juicy secret or two on top of the very reasonable portal fee, he's also willing to carry packages or deliver messages to far-off places. Felicity House - An old Victorian house along the northern shore, the Felicity House appears to be a bed and breakfast that is almost always empty. As it turns out, many of the guests are simply invisible to sleeper eyes. Effectively a shrink ward for ghosts, Felicity is a woman who works with many other kindly wakers that assist ghosts in realizing inner peace and moving on with their existence.
