THE BRONX sites and landmarks |
The Bronx is located straight north of Manhattan, the only borough located on the mainland. Although the Bronx is hugely populous, a quarter of it is open space. Historically, The Bronx boomed after the war, but as property value dropped, the Bronx fell into disrepair. The Bronx is one of the poorest congressional districts in the country, and the wakers in the Bronx aren't any better off than the sleepers on average. Recent revitalization efforts are hopeful but have yet to prove fruitful. Bronx Zoo - One of the world's largest metropolitan zoos, the Bronx Zoo features thousands of animals in naturalistic habitants. There is nothing particularly supernatural about the zoo besides for the occasional werewolf that wakes up there with pups. However, it's a really cool place for characters to randomly meet. Woodlawn Cemetery - A historical landmark, Woodlawn Cemetery is one of the largest graveyards in New York City, and any waker with a sense for the lingering dead will notice the presence of ghosts, even if they can't see the hordes of them. Many of them could be put to rest if some kind soul would help them out. Yankee Stadium - Another decidedly non-magical location, the new Yankee Stadium is listed here because... it's the Yankee Stadium. C'mon. If you would like to add a location here, feel free to respond to this thread with the following template.
