[atrb=width,500,btable][cs=2] Allysse Blanc The girl of your dreams. | RANK. "E" AGE. “24” DOB. “04/21” ETHNICITY. “French-Danish” OCCUPATION. “Temp” RESIDENCE. “Uptown Manhattan”
| [atrb=width,100] | [cs=2] Though she normally maintains the appearance of a human in their early twenties; Allysse claims being born in the dreaming some 230,000 years ago. Or perhaps it's reborn that she says? Either may or may not be true as the circumstances of her birth and younger years have been mostly forgotten as time passed, and with good reason. In her youth she was naive and determined to go about life in her own way, as all those blinded with stubborn ideas were. She hated The Dreaming, where every inch of life had to be fabricated by fae, and instead longed for the freedom of the human world. She longed for their company as opposed to that of her own kind, to live among them in a life much like their own. While feeding she became particularly attached to a human and eventually left the dreaming to pursue him in reality. For a short time they lived a normal life, but as he aged and she didn't, she was forced to come to the realization that despite what reality had to offer, in the end she would have to watch it die when it's time came. Unable to deal with the bitter truth she secluded herself back to The Dreaming once her lover passed, and from then on she maintained something of a jaded and cynical view on life. This translates directly into her dry, rather sarcastic humor, as well as her tendencies to be aloof and disinterested with the concerns of others.
For many years she stayed in The Dreaming, unable to cross back to reality because of the frustration the memories brought on. Bathed in silence and solidity for so long she began losing track of the ones she once called family, the ones called friends, and unsatisfied by what efforts she tried to regain them she turned her entire attention over to feeding. This proved most effective in numbing herself from the void they'd left and slowly but surely she resigned herself to being a solitary creature. Eventually she developed until she was no longer affected with the want to form human ties, nor those with her own people, and was able to function properly in both worlds once more. That being accomplished, she now spends her time roaming the earth for new feeding grounds.
Not one concerned with material things, she is the type to stay in one particular place long enough to amass wealth beyond necessity or reason, and then just as easily toss it away when her interest is no longer in that region. Even though given the choice she prefers finer things, ultimately she opts to start each of her "new lives" fresh; it makes for easier integration into her new surroundings. Because from habit she'd grown to be rather cold and unapproachable, she often portrays herself to be young and naive, flaunting her beauty and sexuality innocently so as to attract as many possible new meals as can be. Settling into New York, where anyone who can take advantage of you will, certainly proved to be a wise place to practice the tactic. Charading as a temp for the time being, she can be found keeping company with anyone from the most successful of business men and women on the Upper East Side, to crime lords and notorious drug dealers hidden in the shadows. Her latest muse happens to be a young Were with the ability to manipulate the emotions of others.
Allysse will not openly claim to be a member of either court. Whether she would admit it or not though, her behaviors tend to favor the ways of the Seelie. On the other hand, she has no problem with operating as the Unseelie do as well, disposing of humans who threaten her way of life without a second thought. Though it may be her own fault for not caring to go out of her way to disguise herself when terrorizing dreams; if someone suddenly puts two and two together to the point it proves dangerous, which does happen every so often, they will be dealt with accordingly. Either way she steers clear of both courts except on rare occasions where she feels she isn't up to date with current events. At those times she has been known to pop her head to gather a fresh word or two. | [cs=2]- Relocation. The power to bring non Fae into the dreaming. This means the person would not necessarily have to be asleep, nor aware they're being moved, to enter. At lower ranks she would have to exert a large amount of energy and power to bring them in and then yet more keep them there. At higher ranks she can do so at will and the power needed to keep them there would be greatly reduced.
- Suggestion. As Fae spend so much time in the minds of others, Allysse has learned to use her powers to covertly place certain 'suggestions' into them. While this is nowhere near mind control, it is quite useful to drop a little fragment of a dream into someone’s mind while they're awake. Usually the person will believe it to be a thought or idea of their own and act on it if it is repeated enough times. Limits on this would be for 1) at lower ranks certain suggestions just won't work, especially on those of higher rank, but also on regular people in general. If the suggestion is either too unlike the person it's given to, too complicated for the person to do, or too obvious that it's being implanted in their minds, the suggestion will fail. This would mean while suggesting a waitress give you free desert by making her feel she hadn't been very hospitable would be a simple task; successfully convincing a perfectly sane person to commit mass murder and then suicide would be unlikely. Though it should be noted that it is not impossible with a very extended period of time spent slowly deteriorating their mental state. That of course would be incredibly time and energy consuming, and even that is slightly an understatement. At higher ranks she would be able to use the power on multiple subjects at once and with more ease on those of lower ranks.
- Creation. As the majority of her time is spent stealing dreams and crafting nightmares Allysse, as most fae, have seen countless hopes and fears. Allysse in particular has come to implement these as weapons of her own. This meaning that if she has witnessed a dream where the subject was particularly strong or fast, she may take on their form in order to mimic their abilities. The closer the subject of the dream actually is, in reality, to the power they dream themselves to have, the better she will be able to use it for her own. Though at the same time the further they are from it the more powerful the skill may be. That meaning that while a 14 year old paralyzed human child who dreams of being like The Flash may actually make her faster than a Were or Vampire who actually possesses those enhanced physical traits, the power will be a more unstable source to draw from, as dreams not based on reality are always a gamble to rely on. In a situation like that she could go from untouchable to paralyzed without warning. On the other, less unpredictable, hand, instead of becoming them she may call forth various creatures of dreams and nightmares she's witnessed to aide her when necessary. Naturally, this is far easier a task to accomplish when in the dreaming, because it is essentially just recreating vivid dreams, so this power would often times be used in conjunction with Relocation. If used in reality the powers are dramatically weakened. At lower ranks the extent of what she can take the form of or call on will be less than at higher ranks.
- Influence I. Posing as a temp Allysse gets juggled between various jobs and work, most of which being the temporary assistant to C.E.O.s of large and very profitable companies and organizations, sometimes even in the offices of government officials. Though most executives don't need any of her urgings to take advantage of their young new help who seems willing to do anything to move up the corporate ladder, Allysse will just as quickly drop a few "suggestions" encouraging the exchange. Easily she's landed on the arms and in the bedrooms of the most influential society has to offer. Being walking proof of the city's affluent men and women's biggest scandals, infidelity, and affairs, she naturally can use this to her advantage every now and again. She isn't particularly greedy about this however, which means most are willing to oblige the small things she may ask of.
- Wealth I. Somewhat due to the sheer amount of time she's had to amass it, somewhat due to her recent endeavors and payoffs for silence, Allysse keeps at least a healthy amount of money stored away and lives a decently comfortable life.
