SOHO sites and landmarks |
SoHo (South Houston) was once known for being the heart of American modern art, home to many artists' lofts and art galleries, but now it's been hit squarely with the gentrification bat. Filled with trendy boutiques and upscale shopping, SoHo is now one of NYC's most commercial and glitzy neighborhoods. Magical types were common here during SoHo's artistic renaissance, and some of them have even remained as the neighborhood's culture pulled a sharp 180. Razzmatazz - A fashion boutique for... witches? It's hard to say whether Ms. Razz is cashing in on the Harry Potter franchise or not when she opened her magic-inspired, avant garde clothing line, but for what it's worth, she's been successful. Her prices are obscenely steep, but her designs are runway potential, and if you know what she's all about, she weaves immensely potent defensive charms right into the cloth. Wooster Café - Wooster Café--which is only labeled outside as CAFFE--is a hole-in-the-wall coffee stop. It seats maybe five, ten if you squish in back, and serves a cup of coffee for $1. The Wooster Circle mages meet in the café's basement every Saturday evening, usually for nothing more than a game of cards. The Wooster mages are old and most of them dying, but they've got power to them yet. Salubri Galleria - An active art gallery that's generally held in high esteem. The curator is a vampire that has lived for a very, very long time and has an exacting standard in art. She expects skill, finesse, passion, and beauty. Her exhibits feature works from gods of art, fae fever dreams, demonic masterpieces, and all sorts of art ranging from traditional to modern to downright bizarre. Its always agreed though whatever's on show is stunning. If you would like to add a location here, feel free to respond to this thread with the following template.
