MIDTOWN EAST sites and landmarks |
The black tie brother of Midtown West, Midtown East is mainly composed of business offices, sleeper and waker alike. Quite a few supernatural companies have popped up here over the years, and wakers in town for such find themselves drawn to Midtown East. The Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Carnegie Hall and the United Nations building all lie within the greater area of Midtown East as well. Grand Central Station - This famous station a relatively waker-establishment free zone, but that doesn't mean it isn't frequented by wakers. The people in transit attract desperate vampires, and more elegant, high class wakers enjoy the Campbell Apartment and the Oyster Bar, often holding get-togethers and reunions in the area when non-local wakers visit. The Topless Towers - A cluster of skyscrapers located a few blocks over from the United Nations building, these are glamoured for invisibility to sleepers and are only accessible through invitation or prior admittance. A horde of waker corporations act out of these towers, and some of the oldest European magi and sorcerer families established base here generations ago. Recently, there's been an influx of take-overs and buy-outs by an unnamed magi based in Russia, and the Topless Towers are buzzing with speculation over who she is and what she wants. Aquavit - This traditional Swedish restaurant on E 55th St is run by a circle of first generation Swedish sorcerers who seek to act as a launching pad and home base for any Scandinavian waker in Manhattan. A shift of power and management within the circle has recently lead to some splits in interest and direction, and word on the streets is that the circle is bound to fall apart--or maybe this is the chance for someone new to step in?
