[atrb=width,500,btable][cs=2] Mildred Bagley-Aldaine brittle turned bloodthirsty | RANK. C AGE. 678 DOB. Turned 08/15 ETHNICITY. European (specifically English) OCCUPATION. NEET RESIDENCE. Somewhere in Midtown, Manhattan
| [atrb=width,100] | [cs=2] Mildred Bagley-Aldaine was born many, many years ago to an unassuming husband and wife in a small town in England. Her father, a simple laborer, and her mother, a maid first and housewife second, had high hopes for their new daughter... hopes that were dashed near-immediately by repeated announcements from the family doctor of their child's odd health patterns.
Mildred's family was not wealthy in any way. The 'family doctor' was actually the doctor of the family that they served, a wealthy family with slightly distant blood ties to the current throne. Current, of course, means current for the time, which was 1334. Edward III's reign was just starting, already looking to be a profitable one for the kingdom after the rather unhappy one of his father before him. As such, Mildred's family lived in relative comfort and were allowed "extras" such as doctor visits. It wasn't a good point in history to be a sickly child, but Mildred consistently made it through her various ailments, for better or for worse.
Life went on, with many bumps along the way, when in 1348 the Black Death swept across the holdings of the family that they served. Servants dropped left and right, and though it took longer for the now secluded upper-class, they began to fall as well. Her mother had just passed in less than three days when she began to get sick. Fever wracked her body, odd bulges began to appear. She hid it as well as she could, but at that point, everyone either had it or was running away. The heads of house had left long ago, and the servants were left to their own sickly devices.
The doctor, who had always been nice to her, had for some strange reason stuck around after sending the "important people" away. He wasn't looking too well these days, either, and she worried for his sake. That was why when he initially pulled her aside, she attempted to run. She didn't want to give him the sickness, the death that she carried inside of her.
He was a doctor, he said, but he was also something more.
In short, he turned her that night.
After the heartbreaking process of watching everyone she loved die around her, they moved on to a new place, in search of food. She traveled with the doctor in that way for decades before they moved to the Americas. It started as something like a romance, her infatuation with him matching his interest in hers. Like any romance forced to stay together through tragedy after tragedy, it tapered off slowly but surely. He grew bored of her, and she began to find him stifling, uncaring. It didn't take much for them to part ways.
Mildred, now a member of the Ordo Dracul, lives in New York. She is attracted to the bustling night life of Midtown, and she uses R's extensive savings to live from day to day, looking forward to never seeing him again. | [cs=2]- Altering Appearance (Illusion Manipulation) -- Mildred can change how she looks to other people. She can generally only do it to one person at a time, and she hasn't practiced enough to do anything too impressive; her illusions more or less look like herself, except older or younger. She can also affect the way she smells to a certain person through this, typically to match the appearance. She cannot affect anything besides herself with this illusion, though she may be able to at some point in the future.
(1/1/13) -- Mildred has begun training with Varnock Acerbi, and as such has begun practicing her illusions. She is now able, after a few tries, to project her illusions on people in her nearby radius rather than one person at a time. She cannot change the illusion to something completely different from herself, but she can change small details. Other than making herself look older/more developed and younger/less developed, she has begun working on projecting a different color hair and eye. Her clothes are simpler to leave as is, so she has yet to work on projecting different clothes.
- Enhanced Agility -- Mildred can jump a little higher, run a little faster, and react to things quickly physically. She of course cannot jump buildings, or even a single story, but she can jump a little higher than someone of her build and athletic ability should. The same goes for her running, she's no
Kenyan superhuman marathon runner, but she can catch up to/run away from most average Sleepers with little effort.
(1/1/13) -- Mildred's agility has increased. She can jump higher, run faster, and react quicker.
- Flash Precognition -- Mildred can see things happen, before they happen... but there are many catches. She can usually only see things split-seconds before they happen, and it has been wrong. What she sees is simply a probability, a sort of 'hunch' as to what someone might do next. This power is limited or simply doesn't work at all with other 'people' with powers, and she uses it mainly in dealings with Sleepers.
(1/1/13) -- Her "sight" has extended by fractions of seconds. It is generally a little more accurate.
- Liege I -- Though Mildred and R had a falling out, she still has some loyalty to his name. He keeps her at a distance, but if the time comes he may come upon her for companionship or some favor or other. She will be obliged to follow through with it (within reason) and though she may be a bit bitter about it, a part of her still loves him enough not to make too big of a deal about it. She is his, after all, forever.
- Wealth I/II -- R, as a rather old vampire, has plenty of funds for her to draw from, but only to an extent. Anything suspiciously large, money-wise, may bring upon Mildred an unwanted visit from the man himself. She prefers to stay around $5k a month (including her rent), but will occasionally withdraw more.
III -- As of 12/29, her allowance has been increased.
- Arsenal I -- Mildred has become a little paranoid over the years and she also doesn't like to get her hands as dirty as she used to. As such she has gathered a small collection of small-time weapons. Her main source of 'firepower' is a small personal firearm, a SIG Sauer P239. It is kept clean and used seldom. She carries a small blade or two on her person in general, but the most used tool that she carries is a wooden handled, insignificant looking garrote.
II -- Mildred has purchased a set of fine knives from Varnock's shop. They are not magical, but they are a step up. Her pistol was a little OP for Arsenal I anyway.
