He can only handle so much idle old man chatter, and luckily for him he gets along surprisingly well with younger folk. Ok, well…children anyway. He doesn’t exactly consider himself ’old’, and he tends to talk to everyone in roughly the same way - straight forward, and with respect. He gets a little overly excited when he talks about pastries, and what ’his kids’ did in daycare that afternoon. Anybody willing to instruct him in waker life would at first be met with adversity (he’s still trying to ignore it away), but in the end he’d greatly appreciate the knowledge and ally. He‘s loyal and will stand by his close friends to the end - he‘d die for them if necessary.[/classy][/classy] | [atrb=border,0,btable][atrb=style, padding: 10px][atrb=style, background-color: #05020D] [classy=entry][classy=icon] [/style][style= font-family: charlesworth; font-size: 25px; letter-spacing: -2px; color: #DBDBDB]adversaries [/classy][classy=blurb]Simon tries to keep his head low these days, but there’s bound to be plenty of people with a chip on their shoulder. He’s not fond of hurting people, but he will if he has to - either to protect himself, or those around him. He hates scumbags, especially anyone who hurts or takes advantage of the innocent or weak - yet despite his strong feelings, he’d never go vigilante justice on them. They might get a good punch in the jaw, but he’d turn them into the police regardless. He’s a normal guy with no powers, so he’d probably want to tangle with a nonuman or magic user about as much as he’d like to belly flop into a pool full of razors.[/classy][/classy] |

But seriously, he’s quite the gentleman in relationships. That being said, he hasn’t really dated seriously in a long time now. Being a cop and working long hours is generally bad for the health of relationships. Now that he’s retired, he’s not exactly sure how the fifty-somethings go about running into each other. He’s incredibly fit still, and not half bad to look at, but having young ladies/men hit on him makes him uncomfortable to the nth degree. He so does not want to be a ’cradle robber’ and he avoids that sticky situation whenever possible.[/classy][/classy] | [atrb=style, padding: 10px][atrb=style, background-color: #05020D] [classy=entry][classy=icon] [/style][style= font-family: charlesworth; font-size: 25px; letter-spacing: -2px; color: #DBDBDB]general info [/classy][classy=blurb]Oft bewildered by the ‘awake’ life he’s now living, he just tries to get through each day with as much normalcy as possible. He may not be the best at handling awkward situations, and he often isn’t sure what to say, but his heart’s in the right place. He does what he can for those around him, simply because it’s what comes naturally. He’s the person always helping neighbors move, or loaning things out, giving up his seat, or picking up random litter. He may not be living the typical retired life, but he finds a lot of happiness in the simple things - like crème puffs, and finger painting.[/classy][/classy] |
